Want to know the story??

Glade, Amy, Emily and I went to Tai Pan Trading the day after Christmas to get a 12ft Christmas tree for next year. The savings was too exciting for us to pass up. Amy got herself a flocked tree for next years festival of trees. Glade and I bought two trees. A 9ft skinny and a 12ft skinny pencil. We brought them home and left them in the garage.

Today yes today we finally put our Christmas decorations away. Glade and I got this bright idea to set up our trees just to see what they would look like. He put the 9 ft up fast. Then came the 12ft, there was no base. He called Tai Pan Trading and they said it was a good thing that he called because they were sending out all of their Christmas stuff to a warehouse. The lady said if he was smart he would head down there NOW!! So he did. He spent awhile going the rounds with the stock person who was trying to give him a huge tree stand. Then they found a smaller one. Glade walked out a happy person. He came home and proceeded to put up the 12ft tree. He ran into another glitch there were two of the same pieces. (by now he is scratching his head) He could not for the life of him figure out how to fix this problem. SO yes he packs up the tree and heads to Tai Pan Trading again....

The sales lady looks at him like oh no not him again. Between the sales lady and the stock people they put together a whole tree which included the huge tree stand that he should have gotten in the first place. But who knew. He came home ever so happy put the tree together. Now you can view the finished product.

Amy and I are going to have a lot of fun decorating these trees.

Our christmas tree in 2008.

Amy helped me revamp my christmas tree decorations. I think it looks cool.

Amy its a hit !!!

Kyle is kind of picky of what he wears. Amy scored on this jacket. He loves it. I swear he sleeps in it.

Look at this mess

Christmas with characters

Christmas morning started with Kyle begging us to get up at 7:00 am. We opened our gifts and then waited for the real fun to start. The girls finally arrived and then we watched them open their gifts. Maddie came dressed as Sleeping Beauty and Ashlyn came dressed as Tinkerbell. How cute is this??

While up at the cabin New Years weekend there were a lot of things going on. The purpose of the cabin is for the family members to get away and relax. I think this proves we have suceeded.

Todd, our WEASLE

I was taking pictures of people cooking dinner at the cabin for New Years and this is what I got.

The newest member of the Parkin family

Jason married Natatlie on December 13th. The day started early. Jason ran around frantic to get ready to be at the Bountiful temple on time. Glade and I along with other family members drove through a snow storm to attend his marriage and sealing. We then met at the reception center the chantilly mansion for a luncheon and pictures. The food was excellent. There was a little break before the reception. The reception was from 7:00 to 9:00 there were alot of people that came to welcome and congratulate the two.
